Weekly Recap – Aug 16th

I think that I’d like to start posting a weekly recap here, because I pay for this blog and I might as well use it (lol).

This week, I drove down to Everglades National Park to visit a friend. I had a wonderful time! I am so grateful for my safe travels and the time we got to spend together.

One of the most memorable things we did was a ‘wet walk’ through a Cypress Dome in Everglades National Park. This was an incredible experience and led me to exploring areas of the park I had never seen before! We also went kayaking out in Florida Bay and saw many Roseate Spoonbills, which are my favorite bird. I am truly so blessed to have these amazing experiences and memories.

A trip with such epic highs has some lows, as well. I unfortunately left my GoPro somewhere in the park. After retracing my steps, I have concluded someone probably picked it up and I will not be getting it back. This is super depressing for me, as I have really been getting into videography lately. And of course, GoPros aren’t exactly cheap to replace! So, no photos or videos from me for a while unless they’re from my iPhone.

I drove back up to Jacksonville on Thursday without a hitch and am currently on my lunch break from work. Classes for the Fall semester begin tomorrow. Please send prayers and good vibes that I will have the strength and discipline to do well this semester. I know I have it in me to successfully finish this degree!

Please also pray that I would hear the Lord’s voice in all my endeavors, that I would always heed his guidance. Thank you, have a great week!
